Whakamana Māori Whānau with Cancer. Te Mauri is a roopu for Māori whānau experiencing cancer.
Using trained kaitiaki, Te Mauri offers a safe, nurturing space where you and your whānau can meet, learn and share stories and knowledge with others. We use our pūrakau and atuatanga to support whānau in understanding the journey from a Mātauranga Māori perspective.
Te Mauri seeks to prioritise your cancer support needs, and we will walk beside you, wherever you may be in your journey. Te Mauri is provided by Kokiri Marae Health & Social Services Lower Hutt.
We can work with groups including your whānau, workplaces, sports teams, Kapa Haka, church groups to coordinate an information session.
Information sessions can be organised at a time and place that is convenient and comfortable for your group. Sessions are fun, informative and interactive.
We provide up-to-date information, answer your questions and talk about the options available.
All of our services are FREE and can be provided in the community.
